    education Edison for the community Value for our customers Sustainability report News Contacts share 31 August 2015 Protecting biodiversity Commitments Actions Achievement Continue to monitor bird life and bats in the wind plants and in particular at the wind plant of San Benedetto Val di Sambro verifying the bat colonisation of the artificial nests Monitoring continued in 2014 and will continue in a structured manner in 2015 too With reference to the construction of the envisaged wind power plant of Baselice the preventive analysis of local autochthonous vegetation so as to mainly introduce plants compatible with the habitat into the site during environmental reclamation which do not alter the local biodiversity An area with trees and shrubs able to offer refuge to smaller animals has been created very near the plant thereby facilitating re appropriation of the areas concerned by the development relatively quickly Objectives Actions Monitoring of biodiversity at Campo Rospo A project will be launched to monitor the biodiversity of the underwater species present in the OFF SHORE field of Rospo Mare in collaboration with the zooprophylactic institute of Termoli and with the assistance of a biologist The project envisages the collection of data through video recordings and the registration of the underwater species at the various installations of Campo Rospo The Mossel Monitor project already underway at the Rospo Mare platform and the Bio Vega project in progress on the Vega platform with the installation of reef balls on the platform jacket continue In 2012 we completed an assessment of the vulnerability of the areas surrounding production facilities in terms of biodiversity issues The methodology used was that of analysing three types of data use of soil protected areas distribution of vertebrate species These three types of information taken from official databases and scientific publications were organized into a geographic database that also includes data about the location of the operating sites The database thus created was used to develop a ranking of the operating sites in terms of their sensitivity for biodiversity issues in the surrounding areas For each site assessed on the basis of these indicators a summary sheet was prepared showing the results of the analysis and the values of the indicators Thanks to the results of the study on vulnerability in terms of the biodiversity of the areas surrounding the plant which closed in 2012 it is possible to focus on sites located in contexts that are potentially more sensitive because of the proximity to protected areas or areas of particular natural interest Assesment study 2014 In 2014 assessment of the existing flora and fauna in a section of the Silisia river running for approximately 3 3 km between two barriers used for the production of electricity continued The site identified is located immediately upstream of the hydroelectric plant of Chievolis in Val Meduna PN Edison has completed the study in the section running between Ca Selva dam and the Chievolis plant The study was carried out by analysing the biological components with

    Trimestrale EMA Quarterly Report Round table with Consumer Associations organised in collaboration with other retailers The round table has produced a first document discussed with the AEEGSI in February and a second document that was sent to the AEEGSI in August The positions were incorporated by the AEEGSI into a consultation paper DCO 477 14 on which a resolution is expected to be passed in the next few months The table will still be open in 2015 to discuss matters like late payment and the reduction elimination of price protection Roadmap with the Consumer Associations on activities involving the dissemination of knowledge and information on conciliation We have worked towards preparing and planning the Rovigo Veneto event scheduled for February 2015 and the ones thereafter Round table on Conciliation with Consumer Associations of the National Consumers and Users Board The round table on conciliation continued in 2014 with a view to ensuring the continuous evolution and improvement of the Protocol regulation and monitoring of the service available to clients consumers Objectives Actions To guarantee maximum transparency and quality in all market segments in which we operate To increase use of electronic billing Development and consolidation of the Noi Edison loyalty programme Sharing and dissemination of the results and best practices of the group companies To keep the quality of service supplied high To plan new training courses connected with the duty skills blended To extend our courses beyond the Marketing Sales Energy Services division To keep a high level of attention to customers Analysis and assessment of process improvement actions At Edison we have chosen to constantly improve the quality of service offered to customers Our service doesn t just pass ISO 9001 standards but is outlined with concrete actions and innovative projects In May 2012 the second edition of the Service Quality Charter was launched for all household electricity or natural gas customers The charter confirms all the commitments in the areas of transparency availability and clarity in contracts and communications One section is devoted to enhancing the electricity and gas market the simplified reading of bills and tips for an effective and responsible use of energy for our customers the Charter is a practical guide for daily use In 2013 we chose to consolidate our offerings focusing on promoting a higher quality service in addition to economic advantage on individual supplies with a growing awareness towards value added activities Those paying by direct debit and using electronic billing are evidence of the commitment to a dialogue doubly beneficial both for Edison and the customer Edison has consolidated its market presence in three different directions Business customers The segment is controlled through an establishment dedicated to supply management today business customers are increasingly informed aware of market dynamics and on the lookout for the best possible opportunity to combine quality of service with economic savings To meet these demands and be even more competitive on the wholesale market Edison has prepared real time quoting of its offers Small and
